High Commander Lesto Arseni is the most feared man in the Harken Empire. None but the High King dares risk his wrath—and a pirate who once punched him in the middle of the imperial pavilion. A pirate who later snuck away with Lesto to an empty room, touched him in ways far more memorable. And then immediately bolted like a man who’d gotten what he wanted.

Shemal just wants to live a normal life, leave his pirating days behind him and prove that he’s respectable now. The last thing he needs is the two idiots who show up wanting his help with the noble they’ve kidnapped—the very man Shemal had been hoping to prove himself to, the man he hasn’t forgotten since Shemal punched him a year and a half ago.

Our thoughts:

I like bold, brash, confident characters and Lesto fits the mold perfectly. From the first few paragraphs, I enjoyed being pulled back into this fantastical world Megan Derr featured in The High King’s Golden Tongue. It’s in that novel that we first meet Lesto and his boisterous and stern personality traits.

In The Pirate of Fathoms Deep, Lesto is unwittingly taken captive by some incompetent fools who mistake him for the noble, Lord Bestowen. It’s the eye patch. I guess if one shares that physical attribute with the intended target, they’re scooped up regardless. Lesto is no ordinary prisoner. He’s the High Commander to the King, Sarrica. The King’s former brother-in-law and best friend. Commander of Fathoms Deep. I could go on with his impressive list of credentials, but it only serves to show how fierce a fighter and soldier Lesto has been. He rants and raves and gives his men grief, but he’s a true leader. Confident, smart and arrogantly brave and skilled.

When he is laid upon Shemal’s door, drugged, by the two kidnappers, Shemal’s heart skips a beat for he knows exactly who the kidnapped man is. He isn’t some noble, but the man Shemal had been intimate with just once and has haunted Shemal’s dreams since– Lesto.

What results is a mad dash to get Lesto home and figure out what is causing a country, that’s been relatively quiet for the High King, to strike out against the throne in a ship attack and kidnapping.

Of course we get the misunderstanding that come with a one-off that ends before either party has a chance to confess feelings or intentions. Misunderstandings due to class disparity and language barriers result in flustered men that made me laugh and my heart sing with joy. Shemal isn’t some faint of heart gentleman easily swoon by Lesto and his wealth. Shemal is a pirate from the Farlands and he’s had a rough life.  He’s fought many battles and endured many hardships. He’s fiercely proud, but not too proud to know his place in the order of things in this world. He knows he’s a pirate and not worthy of any titles.  That, Lesto plans to break him of.

Together they’re a good fighting team but they just don’t have enough time between all the haste to get Lesto back home and the impending upheaval with Treya Mancee to work through all the particulars of what they want and expect from each other. Again, emotions get in the way and have the potential to drive Shemal away from Lesto for good.

This world is utterly fabulous!! Extremely detailed and exciting. A world of kingdoms, nobles, armies and fighting. A long ago time that is also a bit fantastical with its mpreg. By far one of my favorite of this genre. I thought The King’s Golden Tongue was impressive, but the books in the series just continue to excite and exceed expectation. This pursuit was far different from that of Sarrica and Allen and will surely be different from the next with Jader and Kamir in The Heart of the Lost Star.

Our thoughts:

Jacob Z. Flores always captures my heart with his contemporary romances, and that holds true for Undercover Boyfriend.

Marty is in a pinch. He’s made up a fake boyfriend to keep his mom from trying to force him back together with his ex, Christian, the cheating jerk that’s too full of himself. In order to get her to relax, Marty makes up Tim. Now, Marty needs to find a real Tim to take to his sister’s wedding or his mom will make his life hell.

Luke is an undercover FBI agent working an extensive case to bring down a big time criminal and drug lord, when his cover is blown. With a possible internal mole and the cartel after him, Luke must keep a low profile and regroup.

Fate is responsible for Marty and Luke bumping into each other, twice. The second time, they decide to help each other out. Luke will pretend to be Marty’s boyfriend, Tim, and Marty will give Luke a place to stay so he won’t seen for a few days. Total win for both of them.

Of course neither man expected to actually like the other, let alone discover they have common interests and enjoy being around each other. Marty and Luke actually navigate the family setting quite well and Luke manages to shut the ex boyfriend down hard. There were so many funny moments as well as serious ones. Marty finding his inner strength. Luke finding a confidant in Marty. Both finding that this pretend relationship might actually be leading to a real relationship. The slow burn towards attraction. The funny and shocking moment when Luke realizes that he is falling in like with Marty. The sweet moment when Marty gets the real boyfriend he’s always dreamed about. These were the best morsels of the story and had me falling all over Marty and Luke.

The cartel and Luke’s undercover assignment comes crashing head-on into Marty’s world and when things come into full view, it’s not pretty. There’s a lot of surprises, drama, and suspense over the cartel. Marty and Luke’s safety is a big concern and common thread throughout the book. We still get a fun, loveable story that goes by way too fast. I liked these two guys so much I didn’t want it to end, but it did end, and perfectly I might add!

EXCERPT:

Candy groaned when he realized he was the most innocent in the dark side of the world of the three of them.

Him innocent. Unbelievable.

Dom, whore, and pimp, he shouldn’t inch at the idea of death and blood, but he did. Fuck. Had Paris known how worthless he was going to be when it came to monsters, gore, and the supernatural shit of the world?

He glanced at Jack, sighing over his natural boy-next-door beauty. His dark blond hair was long, curling around his ears, and somewhat unruly. It looked soft, and Candy longed to run his fingers through it. He’d met more handsome men than Jack, Paris and Shane being prime specimens of men, but something about him drew Candy in deep. His eyes were a soft shade of honey brown, with specks of dark chocolate that glistened if the light hit them just right. He always held himself apart, shoulders squared, head high. Con dent, Candy thought. But every once in a while he’d get a glimpse of something lurking beneath all that bravado—a childlike innocence and fear. It was the little boy hiding his heart behind the badge that made Candy want Jack so bad. He wanted to take that fear away, show him that while the world might not be safe, he wasn’t alone anymore.

Had Ivy even gotten to taste those thick lips? Or experience Jack’s strong arms wrapped around him? Had he chased away the overconfident man and fearful child long enough to see the real Jack? Did Candy have a chance? Should he even care if his death was just around the corner? Fuck. If there was anything he hated it was uncertainty. Whatever Aki saw would happen. Candy had no doubt about that. If he was going to die today or even a year from now, shouldn’t he just live every moment like it was his last? What would Jack do if Candy threw himself at him? Kissed the breath out of him? Asked to be held? Candy growled to himself and shook his head. He didn’t know where to start, but somehow he was sure aggression wouldn’t be welcome.

Jack stayed on his heel while Candy wandered, but seemed to be inspecting the property himself, maybe looking for clues that had been missed by the police. He had this nervous habit of biting his lip when he was deep in thought. Candy had noticed it ages ago, and it drove him nuts. It was an almost boyish cuteness that made Candy want to kiss Jack just to stop him from worrying at his lip, but now he knew it wouldn’t be welcomed and it irritated him. His tight pants bit into his lling cock. It wasn’t fair to be attracted to someone so badly.

He’d looked up the term Ivy had left for him after his last client: asexuality. A lack of emotional interest in sex. There were a dozen divisions within the term, some even sex- or relationship-averse, meaning they were repulsed by sex. Did sex disgust Jack? Was that why he hugged himself whenever he entered the Gem and refused to meet anyone’s eyes? Candy had thought it was just shyness, and maybe it partially was. He just didn’t quite understand. How could someone be physically able to have sex, but not want to? If he asked Jack, would he answer?

Candy sighed to himself and headed up the stairs. Even the stairs were caked in grease and grime. Ivy had lived here for several years, walking those steps in bare feet. Candy didn’t want to see, but he had to get his mind off Jack. The nastiness of the Red Delight client rooms would hopefully wilt his erection. If he’d been home he would have found a spare moment with Ivy to alleviate some tension. Here there was nothing but sticky floors, stained walls, and the stench of years of cigarette smoke.

Jack followed him up the stairs. Neither of them spoke or touched anything. A door at the far end was still marked with the yellow paint used by the police to indicate the crime area. Jack rubbed his nose and grabbed Candy’s arm before either of them could make a step toward that door. “It still smells of death up here. We should go back down. There’s nothing to see, right? You don’t want the actual building, just the land.”

“Ivy is too free with information,” Candy said, somewhat annoyed. How was it fair for Jack to know so much about him when Candy knew almost nothing about Jack?

“He worries about you. Wants to take care of you.” “Funny. I’d say he does the same for you.”

Jack shrugged. “He’s a friend. I thought he was your friend too.”

Candy stepped into Jack’s personal bubble. “I fuck him regularly. We’re more than just friends.”

Jack didn’t step back, nor did he appear to be shocked by Candy’s words, which stole some of Candy’s anger. Ivy had obviously not been dishonest with either of them. Though Candy had never expected him to fully disclose his sex life to Jack. “Why does that matter?” Jack asked finally. “I’m friends with Shane and Aki doesn’t mind. I know they have sex often.”

Did Jack really not know? Maybe he didn’t get that Ivy wanted more than friendship. Hell, Candy would have liked to get to know Jack on a more personal level too, only his hackles were always raised by the man. He had this feeling that Jack would have to be the man of the relationship. The guy in charge, the Dominant, and Goddess knew Candy hated to give up control. Not that he didn’t like occasionally having someone hold him down and pound into him. Fuck, his head was messed up. And why did Jack smell so damn good?

Candy stood close enough that if he leaned forward just a bit he could finally capture Jack’s abused lip. When had he grown tall enough to nearly meet Jack eye to eye? And the strength of Jack’s hand on his arm… Candy knew it could hold him, maybe even be enough to restrain him. He sucked in a deep breath; his cock ached to be touched and leaked in his pants. It made him angry. He was never rational when angry. Paris had been trying for years to teach him to bury that wild emotion and had failed. Candy opened his mouth to say something scathing, only Jack spoke first.

“I never got to thank you for the book,” Jack said. “At least not in person. I’m sure Ivy told you I was grateful. But I really do like it. It’s like owning a piece of history. I’m in awe that you even found it.”

An odd mash of glee filled Candy’s gut. Jack liked the book. He knew that, of course, Ivy had told him so, but it was different hearing it from the man himself. The anger fell away. Did Jack really see him?

“The cake too. That was pretty amazing. I have the rest of it in my freezer. Been eating it a little at a time. Ivy helped me cut it into slices so I could freeze it and unthaw it as I want. I’ve never been a huge fan of sweets, but the lemon and strawberry mix is good. I’ve never had anyone give me anything. Thank you.”

Candy gave in to his need to touch and be touched. Even if it meant Jack shoved him away, he had to step forward, close that space and try. He leaned forward, not daring to kiss Jack, but enough to rest his forehead on Jack’s shoulder, arm loose around his waist. He kept their hips apart so as not to startle Jack with his erection. He almost expected Jack to step back. But he didn’t. His arms circled around Candy’s back, patting his shoulder lightly.

“The new hair color is good,” Jack told him. “Makes me think of flowers. Not that you’re flowery, but I’m sort of hoping spring comes soon. I don’t like the cold very much.” He seemed to be rambling now. Breathing a little hitched. Candy couldn’t recall Jack ever speaking to him so much. “More you than that brown I saw you with at Solstice. And I’m glad the jacket ts. When I saw it last week I told Ivy it would be perfect for you. I don’t know when your birthday is, but if it makes you feel better you can pretend it’s a present for your birthday, or maybe a late Solstice present.”

The clothes, or at least the jacket, had been from Jack? Candy wished they were in a better place. He would have shoved Jack against the wall and proved to him how great sex could be. Only he couldn’t imagine touching anything in here and not coming away with some nasty disease. “Thank you. The coat is nice. Warm.”

Jack rubbed Candy’s arms. “That’s what I thought when I saw it. That it would keep you warm, and the color is nice. Bright, like your hair always was.” He hesitated in his touch, but Candy moved closer to him, assuring him that it was okay. “It’s been a while since I saw you last. I hope you’re doing okay. I mean, I’m sure Ivy would have told me if you weren’t, but it’s good to see for myself that you’re looking good….”

Jack thought he looked good? Manny appeared on the stairs a moment later, saving Candy from doing something stupid, like stealing a kiss from Jack.

“Oscar’s finished,” Manny told him. He said nothing about the embrace that would have embarrassed Candy had anyone else seen.

Candy pulled away reluctantly. He couldn’t meet Jack’s eyes as he made his way downstairs. If he had, he’d have said something stupid, like ask if they could go back to his place afterward. Jack probably would have taken the proposal badly anyway.

Yohan didn’t look any happier. And the offer was even lower. Candy took the screen and added a small sum of money to it. This was their final offer. “Take it or leave it,” Candy told him.

“You’re ripping me off,” Yohan protested. “Just because you can.”

Candy shrugged. Jack took the screen and glanced over it. “Looks fair to me. The condition of the building is questionable. I noticed more cracks in the walls and ceiling than the building code would allow, even for an older structure. There’s substantial water damage upstairs, so the roof is bad. Probably should have been replaced years ago. And then there are the health code violations….”

“I’ll take your offer,” Yohan said, most likely to shut Jack up before he could air the long list of problems with the property. Oscar stepped in to get his signature and thumb print on several e-documents.

Candy couldn’t help but grin at Jack, who gave him a nonchalant shrug. “Everyone out to the bus,” Candy instructed the companions. “You’ll be heading to Cardinal Sins.”

“What will we be doing there?” one of them asked.

“Paris will interview each of you and find a suitable job. Most likely serving drinks, food, maybe cleaning or cooking. He’s pretty well stocked in companions right now.” And all of these whores were well past their prime. Candy would have to find out where Yohan had sold the others to. There weren’t many brothels left in City M, and he hated the idea of any whore being left to be abused by some asshole pimp.

“No more whoring?” another clarified.
“Not likely.” He ushered them toward the door.
Jack still stood between him and Yohan. Yohan had several bags

packed and there was a car that wasn’t part of Candy’s entourage parked near the curb. “Will you be leaving town, then?” Jack asked Yohan. “I’d like to know where to nd you in case more questions come up about this case.”

Yohan shook his head. “Not my problem anymore. That belongs to him now too.” He waved his hand at Candy and made his way out the door and down to the car.

There was another unmarked car parked across the street that Jack saluted lightly. The passenger window rolled up, and as soon as Yohan’s car eased away from the curb, the black sedan followed.

“Ino,” Jack informed Candy. “He’ll let me know if Yohan leaves town or hides out somewhere. I really do want to know where he goes, just in case.”

Candy nodded, a little shocked by Jack’s foresight. If Candy had been thinking ahead, he’d have put one of the guards on the task. It was just more proof that he hadn’t gotten enough sleep. He watched the former companions all board the bus and sent a text off to Paris that they would be in need of immediate healthcare as well as clothing and jobs. Oscar held out the last of the documents for him to review and sign. Moments later, with money transferred, it was time to return to the Gem and to Ivy. If only he could bring Jack with him. He knew for certain Ivy wouldn’t mind at all.

Jack stood less than two feet away. He was looking around, a confused expression on his face. “Everything okay?” Candy asked him. He reached out to touch Jack’s arm. Oscar was already headed back to the car when Jack’s eyes widened in alarm and the same instant something sliced into Candy. For a moment he stood there, startled, confused at the odd, growing, wet heat suddenly pouring down his back, and then the fiery pain that erupted from his back and through his stomach. Hot pokers seemed to melt through his body, driving mind-numbing pain to every nerve.

His breath faltered as blood filled a lung. He choked on the rising fluid and spit out a gush of red and froth. The world turned into a wild swirl of fading colors, all centering on Jack’s face. His expression was horrified, and then a moment later, Jack was no longer there and a black tiger leapt at Candy.

OUR THOUGHTS:

The sheer imagination and imagery in the Hidden Gem series are astounding; Kasey paints gorgeous, technicolor pictures with her words. Readers can easily  get lost in the sights, sounds and happenings of this world.  If the fantasy and romantic complication aren’t enough, intertwined with that creative complexity are an expertly laid out murder mystery and some pretty intense physical and biological threats. Investigating the implications of each is absolutely fascinating.

Speaking of romantic complications, it seems Kasey has created quite the mess of feelings for Jack, Ivy and Candy to navigate. When faced with the potential for a polyamorous relationship, it’s often difficult to imagine just how it will play out. In Candy Land Kasey systematically builds and reinforces the necessary ties to make the connection plausible.   She painstakingly grows the bonds between them, and readers will ultimately accept nothing less to get these guys the happiness and security they deserve.

Hi Jessie! We’re excited to have you back at 3 Chicks After Dark! Thanks for the great Slice of Life we hosted on the 21st of March. Ty and Chase have always been a favorite couple, but I’d have to say Snake and Greg are a strong second for me. That said, there were a few things I wondered about Snake and Greg as I read their story. Why not make it part of our interview for our tour stop!?

Thanks for taking time to be with 3 Chicks After Dark!

First, could you elaborate a bit more on Greg’s body dysmorphia? He’s obviously concerned about his lack of abs and bigger thighs.  How would you describe Greg? Would he be a plus sized model or is he skewed in his own mind how he looks. Is he just not well-defined or muscular, but slimmer. I find I need a better picture of Greg so I can get a better handle on his level of body dysmorphia!

In my mind, I see Greg as someone who has spent his whole life fluctuating. He was an overweight child, picked on, and hiding out in his tech world where he felt safer. He’s someone who would subscribe to the latest diet fad, sometimes with drastic and unhealthy results, and then give up when his changed appearance still didn’t gain him the peer acceptance he thought he needed. The only time he was truly in optimal physical condition was in the DEA academy and he has since settled into what he considers his norm. When he looks in the mirror he sees a plus size man, though he’d never consider himself a model because he believes his features are plain at best. When Snake looks at him, he sees a soft, curvy body that fits perfectly against him and the face of the man he loves.

As I write that, I am even more intrigued with perceptions. How Greg sees himself vs how Snake sees him and how Snake’s feelings impact his perception of Greg? I don’t know the answer. Me and my mirror have a tenuous relationship, so you can be sure Greg will not be the last character I write with body issues.

Second, would Greg and Snake ever dabble is a bit of BDSM? Nothing like Ty and Chase, but maybe some bondage or spanking? Greg seemed turned on by being protected and cared for, but would it extend into something a bit more?

No, not in any real serious ways. I like variation in my reading and my writing, and I’m loving exploring all the ways love can manifest itself and how varying the expression of those feelings can be.

There is Red and Bull, for example, their intimacy is very sweet. Always tender, always filled with flowery words, and even though Red craves the safety of Bull’s larger frame, it’s the security of knowing it would never be used against him that allows him to trust.

Then you have Ty and Chase who live BDSM—from an established 24/7 D/s dynamic, to trying every kind of kink on the spectrum. They are fully cognizant of each other at all times and can comfortably communicate what works and what doesn’t. Mushy words aren’t a big part of their repertoire, but their bond and love is equally as strong as Red and Bull (some would say stronger).

Now we have Snake and Greg—they are all for the dirty talking and sex toys, and they’d be open to experiment with some bondage, maybe, in the heat of the moment, but can also be sweet with each other. I like to think of them as my spicy couple with a dash of this and a sprinkle of that to suit their craving of the moment.

My other couples fall somewhere in between sweet, spicy, and kinky, and I look forward to discovering yet another expression to explore.

Third, just how hard was it to build Greg and Snake’s connection so quickly and have it all be through long distance, phone connection? Were you concerned that it wouldn’t be believable, or whether their attraction would carry through once they met for the first time?

Yes and no. I had already posed the question of what they were in Tricking Chase and so many people responded. Was Snake gay? Bi? Were they together? Did Greg turn him down? Before I even said who the next book would be about, I was getting emails and comments in reviews about Snake and his Phone Sex Operator. So, no, I wasn’t too worried about making that connection believable.

For five years, these two men have communicated, have worked together, and have built a solid relationship despite the miles between them. I firmly believe that’s possible. We make connections every day on social media that never translate into real life encounters, yet we still consider those people our friends, don’t we? We cheer on their successes, mourn their losses, find kindred spirits and confidants.

Snake and Greg had found their kindred spirit, they were cheering each other on, keeping each other alive, and they were solid in their role as partners, and cognizant of their own feelings if not each other’s. Pushing them from the comfort of a long distance relationship to a real life encounter was the real hoop I had to jump through. There had to be bumps in the road. A real long distance relationship leaves a lot of room for autonomy and places to hide the things we think would make us less attractive.

The trick was allowing them to see all the things they weren’t privy to over the phone without diminishing their feelings for one another. Not just appearances, but those quirks and idiosyncrasies that could be cute or annoying depending on how you feel about the person doing them. I hope I did it justice.

Before we say goodbye, is there anything you’d like to share about Greg or Snake that us super fans would find amusing? A little morsel to gobble up?!

Since the book ends as Snake and Greg’s new adventure begins, I’ll be writing shorts that I’ll be putting up on my blog during the tour. After spending the majority of their relationship apart, sending them on a cross country journey together is bound to have some interesting (amusing, sexy) moments, and I can’t wait to write them. I also suggested something in the book that I never followed through on.

Carly at Carly’s Book Reviews asked me to write it and 2000 NSFW words later, it’s chock full of all the spice I’ve come to love from this couple. You can find that here http://carlysbookreviews.blogspot.com/2016/03/talk-dirty-to-me-by-jessie-g.html

Kudos for all the phone and long distance conversations and sexual moments. I think it would be hard enough to write a normal conversation let alone one based over a phone connection! Once again, you’ve delivered another fantastic novel in this world of men, who’ve become an addiction! Thanks for taking the time to join us and having us on your tour. :)

Thank you for hosting me and my boys. I know how much you love Ty and Chase, and I’m so glad Snake and Greg were able to find a place in your heart as well. – Jessie

Blurb:

As a secret agent for the DEA, Snake’s gone deep into Devils Pride MC with the hope of bringing down the head of Miami’s lucrative drug trade and finds himself saddled with the club’s volatile and secretive SA instead. Unfortunately, after years as partners doing shit neither of them wanted to do for reasons neither of them felt comfortable sharing, Snake considers Trick his best friend. Now he’ll do anything to repair the damage his own necessary lies did to their friendship because, while Trick may have walked away from the MC, Snake needs someone he trusts to have his back.

Meanwhile, Snake’s contact at the DEA has him tied up in knots. The sexy voice and inappropriate comments have him walking around with a permanent set of blue balls. Life undercover is lonely and he lives for every phone call, but his own personal Deep Throat is skittish about committing to a date once Snake returns to headquarters. As far as Snake’s concerned, they only have one shot to build something together and he’s not willing to waste it.

Greg knows he’s not Snake’s type, or anyone’s for that matter. Former love interests called him plain, chubby, and boring. More comfortable in his tech cave than with people, he’s a grade A nerd who isn’t exactly GQ material. Normally he would never be brave enough to flirt with anyone—much less the very hot and very dangerous ginger who’d been starring in his nightly fantasies—but Snake needed something to keep him from getting lost undercover. What started out as a helping hand quickly became an integral part of their relationship—if one could call a five year phone conversation a relationship—and Greg is terrified that once Snake’s sees the wizard behind the curtain, he’ll lose the only man he’s ever loved.

Now the DEA has called Snake home to plan the next stage of the mission, leaving Greg no more places to hide. When fantasy and reality collide, will it be everything Snake hopes for or everything Greg fears? The trick will be staying alive long enough to figure out the answer.

R/X Rated Excerpt:

“That sexy voice and those incredible brains are a potent combination.” There was a sigh and a muffled groan, reminding Greg why they were talking at close to three in the morning. “Lucky for you, my ego’s big enough to handle the challenge.”

“Your ego or your dick?” Just saying it made his mouth water and he’d give anything to see it, touch it, taste it…

“Damn, Sunshine, you gonna groan like that when I’m shoving my big ego down your throat?” The rough dirty talk was more like the Gene he knew and loved.

Yeah, as hopeless as it was, there was no other word for the feelings that ran deep and true inside him. And it was hopeless. While not conventionally handsome, Gene was everything he could ever want in a man—tall, strong, rugged, smart, and deadly—and damn him for being a ginger to boot. The type of man who had no trouble finding a willing body to fuck. The type of man who would never look twice at an out of shape, curly-haired, glasses-wearing geek. But that was his secret and as long as Gene didn’t know exactly what he looked like, he was able to hold on to the fantasy for a little while longer.

“You know I will.” He was groaning again just thinking about getting his lips anywhere near Gene’s body. “I can feel you fisting my hair, holding me still while you make me take every inch.”

“Fuck yeah, I’d grab two fistfuls and fuck that dirty mouth the way it deserves,” Gene promised. “You want that, don’t you, Sunshine? To be manhandled until your throat is raw and your lips are swollen.”

Greg fisted his own aching cock, dragging his palm from balls to tip. What he wouldn’t give for that just once. “More than anything.”

“My dirty little Valentine.” Gene’s voice was ragged and full of satisfaction. “Get your toy, dirty boy, I’m dying to pound that tight ass until you’re screaming my name.”

There was no embarrassment as he reached for the long, thick vibrating dildo he’d already prepared in anticipation of this phone call. He wanted Gene too much to allow embarrassment to stop him from experiencing whatever he could with the man. “Tell me…tell me how you want me. On my back? On my knees?”

“On your back so I can see your face,” Gene purred and Greg felt his heart skip another beat. His dirtiest fantasies had nothing on phone sex with Gene. The real thing would probably kill him.

Meet the author:

Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I’d begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: to be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it’s a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and a full schedule of releases planned for the next two years, it’s been amazing to have made this dream my reality.

I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics, and happily ever after. I’m a lover of strong secondary characters, and series filled with families—biological or chosen. All are themes you’ll find throughout my books.

Our Thoughts:

Another Jessie G spectacular! In all seriousness, Jessie G seems to be an author I can rely on for consistently writing novels that deliver a strong story with depth of character, emotion and plot.

In Talk Dirty to Me, we have a chance to get to know Greg and Snake. Snake is the undercover agent (who’s not so undercover anymore) that was embedded with the Devils Pride MC. His contact and liaison with the agency was Greg. Snake’s lifeline and grasp at sanity at times was through Greg. Greg helped Snake stay focused and not lose who he was after five years with the MC.

When Snake finishes the job and Durango is gone, Snake should be able to come home. The first person he wants to see is Greg. His sunshine and light in the darkness. His voice of sanity, love and normalcy. Greg is excited yet fearful. After so many years, Snake and Greg have grown from handler and undercover agent to ‘dating’ over the phone. We’re talking full on relationship and phone sex. But, will Snake find Greg unattractive once they meet in person? Greg is worried he won’t be enough for Snake.

He is wrong. So very wrong. Snake couldn’t be more enamored with Greg and he can’t wait to actually touch and spend time with Greg. Unfortunately, all the problems in the MC and with Durango won’t go away. There’s always someone to pick-up the pieces and continue the illegal operations. Snake will have to build his own team to do this job and he goes with those he trusts the most.

Fans of the Sizzling Miami series will adore the cameos with Alaric and Davin. I personally loved the extra mileage with Ty and Chase. Especially Ty! He just has a snarkiness about him that pulls me in like a moth to a flame.  Greg gets to meet all these guys and learn to lean on them for support when he finds himself at the end of a phone yet again with Snake gone and a mole in the agency.

Snake and Greg are the perfect complement to each other as a couple. One is self-assured and confident in their skin, the other not so much. One is a computer whiz and hacker, the other not so much. It’s very much tough guy meets nerd and falls in love. Another interesting aspect to their relationship is that they never met in person for so long. This gave them the chance to get to know each other deeply without any physical attributes getting in the way. Since Greg is self-conscious about his body, this was a blessing for him. I think it was just awesome that they were able to know each other so deeply and fall in love over time. It made the moment they finally got together to sizzle and pop from the scorching heat. They’re fun, zealous and adventurous in the bedroom. Snake is completely in love with Greg and he just radiates warmth and protection when around him.

Another must-read installment in the Devils Pride MC Series. If you haven’t read any of Jessie G’s books, now is the time to take the leap and indulge!
