We cannot contain how excited we are to be part of the final blog tour for the Collars & Cuffs series. KC Wells and Parker Williams have brought such diverse characters of depth that it’s sad to see this series come to an end. We celebrate this final book and bring a character interview from Jeff, whom we originally met in his and Damian’s book Damian’s Discipline (book five in the series).

An Interview with Jeff, Damian’s Discipline book 5.

What is your biggest fear?

Losing Damian’s love. You can NOT repeat this to anyone, okay? Damian’s…I don’t know how to describe it. I’ve gone to the club a few times with him, and I see how some of the other Doms are, all larger than life. Damian isn’t like that. Damian has a quiet strength. Even though the relationship we have isn’t a D/s one, the man has still given me the guidance I needed to become a better person than I am. Which, let’s be honest, really wasn’t difficult. I was kind of a shit. Still am, I suppose. But he loves me anyway.

What is your most prized possession?

I bet most people will say something big and extravagant, but not me. My most prized possession is a bronze colored sweater that Damian bought for me when I first moved in with him. I love it because it’s soft and warm, but what really makes it something I can’t bear to be apart from is despite my behavior and the numerous mistakes I made, Damian still bought it for me.

What do you enjoy doing on your day off?

I’m still working with Ron on woodworking. I’ve gotten to be pretty good, too, or so he says. I like making little things for Damian, but what I really want to do is make him a chest of drawers for his clothes. Something elegant and classy, like he is. Yeah, I know I sound like a sap in love, but maybe that’s because I am. :)

Your best childhood memory?

I don’t have a best childhood memory. Can we move on to the next question please?

Where do you hope to be in five years?

You know, I’m going to be honest…I never thought I’d have a future. I figured one day they’d find my body in the gutter, and I’d be buried in a plot with all the other people no one wanted to claim. But now? In five years I can see myself actually becoming someone. Ron says I’ve got the potential to be a woodworker, and I think to myself that maybe I can do this. I dream…it sounds stupid when I say it out loud…but I thought about opening a shop where people could come in and look at what I’ve made. The prices would be exorbitant, but they would know the quality was worth every penny.

When I first told Damian, I thought he’d laugh, but he got this look on his face, and started asking me what kind of shop I’d look at. He had a friend of his draw up some designs, and show them to me. A big picture window display would show off some of the things I’d worked on, and we’d constantly have to be cleaning the nose and fingerprints off the windows. The store would have natural lighting, and everything would gleam. There’d be so many sales, I’d have to hire someone to take care of the till, while I was in the back creating new things.

It’s years away, if it ever happens, but now that I can see that dream, I want it more than anything. And I think Damian wants it for me.

I love him.

Blurb:

In all his relationships, Darren Fielding never found the level of intimacy he witnessed between Thomas Williams and his sub, Peter, the day of Peter’s “rebirth.” Not only that, he never realized such intimacy was possible. For two years, Thomas’s business card has been burning a hole in his wallet. When Darren’s lover moves on, maybe it’s finally time to see where that card takes him.

Collars & Cuffs’s new barman, JJ Taylor, is really conflicted right now. He went to the club with a very specific purpose, already convinced of what he’d find there. Except it’s not what he expected at all. He certainly didn’t anticipate finding himself drawn to the new wannabe Dom. Nor could he have guessed the direction that attraction would lead him.

Old love, new love, vows, pain, rage, moving in, moving on…. The members of Collars & Cuffs face an event that touches some of them deeply, but it will only reinforce what they already know: together they are stronger, and some bonds cannot be broken.

Excerpt:

“Honey, I’m home.”

Alex laughed and came out of the kitchen to greet his husband. “We’ve talked about this, right? You do not walk into this apartment and talk to me like I’m the little wife.”

Leo kissed him soundly on the cheek. “Aw, but you’d look great in an apron, holding a glass of beer out for your weary, hard-working hubby.” He smirked. “And besides, no one in their right mind would call you little.”

Alex quirked his eyebrows. “One, you don’t drink beer, which is why there’s a glass of chilled chardonnay on the living room table, waiting for you. Two, excuse me—weary? Hard-working? You’ve been standing around in leather chaps and a harness, watching while guys do all manner of things to each other, which probably included a lot of fucking, because, hey, it’s Saturday night, right?”

Leo sighed happily. “What can I say? I love my job.”

Meet K.C. Wells:

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. WELLS always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter….

K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer… and longer….

Meet Parker Williams (or at least his voices):

Good day! We are the voices that live inside Will’s head. The ones who whisper to him constantly, beckoning him to speak of our adventures, to tell of our love, and perhaps, if we’re in a mood, kill a person or two.

We guide his hand as he tells our tales where love is the most powerful force, but must be worked for, molded, and finally, embraced. There can be no shortcuts or substitutions on the path to a happily ever after.

We hope you will join with us as Will fulfills his obligation to ensure our stories are told and, we hope, enjoyed.

Our thoughts:

This is a hard review to write. I have very much enjoyed the Collars and Cuffs series from the beginning. I enjoyed meeting a new couple with each new release, yet having the opportunity to revisit a few of the’old’ couples again in that same release. They felt like family. They stole my heart. They brought happiness, tears, laughs, and emotions so worth feeling.

Endings and Beginnings is the last book in the Collars and Cuffs series. It’s the end for Leo, Thomas, and their boys. But, it’s the beginning of a new club. adventure and potential. Eli and Jared are off to start their own club under the mastery of Thomas and together they will spread the good that has come from Collars and Cuffs.

This novel was really about all the couples and, of course, one new relationship with Darren and JJ. They’re all coping with a big development. Something that impacted so many of their lives and impacted the club as a whole. We know Darren from when Thomas took Peter for his shaving prior to his rebirth. JJ is a new barman at the club but he’s got a secret that could be a game charger, impacting those he knows. Of course with this fantastic and caring group, he’s nothing to worry himself over.

Darren was passionate and takes to learning to master quite well. I liked how JJ and Darren learn together and really connect. JJ finally finds himself and that good; because, he was so twisted and confused. He realizes how much he ran from everything and how wrong that was, and unfair.

Peter has to stand up and remember his training and his progress. That big piece of news almost shatters him and pulls him away from Thomas and all he’s done to help him. Of course, Thomas will always provide and take care of his boy. Peter has grown the most of all the guys and I felt he deserved to be a big part of this story. We can leave this series knowing he’s alright and so much stronger.

I look forward to the next chapter. I grudgingly leave this series behind but I leave knowing it will be one I recommend to everyone and would read over and over again. Thank you KC Wells and Parker Williams. You wrote your hearts out and it shows on the pages of these eight books.

Today we’re happy to host Nolan Clark, author of American Flyboy, at 3 Chicks After Dark! We’re excited to be part of the tour for his debut novel and learn a little about him as well. Our first tour date was fraught with technical issues so we’re trying this again! We appreciate Nolan’s patience and understanding. Now lets focus on American Flyboy!

Hi Nolan, thank you for taking the time to share with us. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book.

I was born in Biloxi, MS and educated at NC State University. I’m an American author who loves reading and writing gay romance/erotica set in historical backgrounds and spending time with my husband Jim, going for long walks in nature parks, dining out and taking in the occasional movie. I’ve been with my husband, Jim for almost sixteen years, and we were married two years ago, shortly have the US Supreme Court ruling allowing gay people to marry throughout the United States.

American Flyboy is my first book and it is a highly readable, erotic M/M romance set amidst the backdrop of World War II.

Could you give us a ‘to-do’ list for one of your characters?

Commandant Wilhelm Braun:
1-Keep resistance cells operating throughout Germany and German occupied Europe.
2-Avoid detection by the SS and the Gestapo.
3- Make Kenneth my very own flyboy.
4-Escape the Russian Army closing on the POW camp in Lamsdorf from the east.
5-Get Kenneth safely out of the POW camp in Lamsdorf.
6-Convince the Allies that a German commandant can be a good guy.
7-Start a new life with Kenneth in the US.

Thanks so much for being with us today, Nolan!

Excerpt:

Wilhelm whispered in soft breaths, “Raise your hands above your head, Kenneth.” Standing behind him, he pulled the grimy POW uniform top over his head and inhaled deeply. “I find your scent intoxicating.” It was unexpected, Wilhelm’s warm breath gently caressing the nape of his neck; Kenneth’s breath quickened. Loosening the silk blindfold, Wilhelm allowed the soft, smooth fabric to glide over Kenneth’s massive, broad shoulders tapering to a V-shaped torso and down his naked back.

Shuddering at the sleek sensations, Kenneth asked, “Are you trying to seduce me Wilhelm?”

In response, Wilhelm stepped closer and pressed his body into Kenneth’s. Wrapping his arms around his waist, Wilhelm kissed him innocently. “I’ve wanted to do that from the first day we met.”

Kenneth kissed him back softly, lingering. He felt safe and whole.

Coaxing Kenneth’s lips apart, Wilhelm’s tongue entered his mouth, tickling the sensitive palate with light flicks. Their lips crushed together with bruising kisses. Wilhelm broke away, gazing longingly into Kenneth’s eyes. “To answer your question, Kenneth, I am guilty of feeding a wounded POW a wonderful meal, relieving his pain with fine brandy, delighting him with romantic music and drawing him a hot relaxing bath of chamomile salts to soak away the stress of a bad day. Your glass is empty. Why don’t you finish undressing and ease into your bath while I get you another drink.” Wilhelm’s voice trailed off as he left the bathroom. “It’s baffling how you arrived at such an audacious conclusion as seduction.”

“My mistake,” Kenneth called after him, laughing to himself. He kicked off his dilapidated work shoes and pushed his boxers and grungy work pants down his long, muscular legs. Raking his strong fingers through the water, heightened the aroma of chamomile, and he inhaled the relaxing scent before slipping into the warm liquid heaven. His tired muscles released their tension as he submerged his body to the neck. Kenneth held his breath and slipped his head under. As he closed his eyes, his exhaustion seemed to float to the surface, and his thoughts drifted to Wilhelm, charming, handsome, tall and strong. His cock swelled to a full erection as he surfaced and rested his head against the back edge of the tub. Wiping the water from his eyes, he inhaled deeply and faded into sleep.

Today we’re excited to feature author Christa Tomlinson. Her latest addition to the Cuffs, Collars and Love series is out and we have the pleasure of interviewing Detective Sam Roberts from The Detective’s Pleasure. Thank you Christa and Sam!

What did you want to be when you were a kid?
When I was younger I had dreams of being a major league pitcher. But although I was good in high school and college, I knew I wasn’t big leagues good. So I worked towards my goal of being a detective.

What do you value the most in your friends?
I like a good group of relaxed and diverse people. Sharing a common interest is important, but within that commonality I like to get to know people with backgrounds different than mine. Helps keep life interesting.

What is your favorite song?
Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks. I like a good time and he sounds like that’s what he’s having in that song.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Will I sound full of myself if I say nothing? Because that’s how I feel. And not because I think I’m the cat’s meow. But because I take life and myself as it comes.

What word or phrase do you overuse?
I should probably stop saying ain’t. But I’m a Texas boy. And after thirty-nine years of living I think it’s pretty clear that word ain’t leaving my vocabulary.

Ahh! Thanks Sam for the candid answers!Get to know  more about Detective Sam Roberts in The Detective’s Pleasure.

“You’ll kneel for me without me having to tell you to. And when you do, you’ll feel so much better. Trust me.”
– Detective Sam Roberts

Officer Ryan Bennett: Ambitious and smart, Ryan Bennett is a young officer on Houston’s police force. He’s pursuing his dream of being promoted to the city’s elite SWAT team with a single mindedness that won’t accept any outcome but success. But that isn’t his only dream. Ryan wants more than a coveted position on SWAT. He wants to be owned by a strong Dominant. To give himself up to a Dom who will make him shudder with pleasure beneath a firm yet loving hand. Unfortunately, Ryan has had nothing but failure in that part of his life. Now, he’s hidden that dream away from everyone, including himself. And he refuses to let anyone close enough to see what he truly desires, and who he truly is.

Detective Sam Roberts: Cool and calm, Detective Sam Roberts is good at reading people, during the day as a detective and at night as a Dom. He easily sees past the hard layer of arrogance surrounding Officer Ryan Bennett to the hurt submissive hiding beneath. He wants to help Ryan, even though the stubborn young man resists him. But Sam isn’t one to back down from a challenge. He’s determined to help Ryan embrace the soft, giving nature of his submissive side. Using both a gentle hand and the sting of the whip, he’ll work to coax Ryan’s submission free. But what will Sam do if he’s successful? Let Ryan go as promised? Or give the young officer the very thing he’s wanted for so long?

Excerpt:

Ryan stopped picking at the wax and met Sam’s eyes in the mirror. He didn’t say anything. He just stood there, looking at Sam’s reflection.

“Do you need-.” Sam stopped. Ryan was on the brink of … something. Sam knew what he said would either finally get him to open up or cause that hard shell to close even tighter around him. Remembering Ryan’s seeming aversion to needing someone, he asked instead, “Would you like some help?”

Ryan moved his head, the movement so slight it could barely be called a nod. If they hadn’t been staring at each other in the mirror, he would have missed it. Sam touched his fingertips to Ryan’s shoulder, waiting to see if he would be rejected. Ryan didn’t react, so Sam moved in closer. When he laid the warmth of his palm across his back, Ryan closed his eyes and shuddered. He gripped the countertop with both hands, his head hanging low.

“I don’t know how to let go,” he said in a voice hoarse with restrained despair.

Sam stepped forward again, moving close enough behind Ryan that he could wrap an arm around him. Ryan stood there for a second before he turned and leaned into his embrace. Sam looked at their reflection in the mirror. Ryan’s blond head was nestled against him, streaks of wax down his back. For the first time he looked truly vulnerable, just as Sam had wanted to see him all along. He stroked Ryan’s hair, pressing a kiss to the soft strands.

“I’ll show you, Ryan. All you have to do is trust me. I’ll take care of the rest.”

BLOG TOUR with CHARACTER INTERVIEW: Devotion (Forbes Mates #1) by Grace R. Duncan

We are pleased to have author Grace R. Duncan back on our site today for the final stop on her blog tour for Devotion. We raved about the book previously (our raving review) and now bring a character interview between Tanner and Finley! Enjoy. Thank you, Grace!

Devotion_headerbanner

Thank you so very much to Three Chicks After Dark for giving me space today! I am excited to wrap up the blog tour with them!

Have you ever been in an argument before? Over what, with who, and who won?

Tanner and Finley both laugh hard. Tanner eventually calms down. We still argue. A lot. He shakes his head.

We argue about all manner of things. Sometimes jealousy still rears its ugly head. I mean, I know he loves me. There’s no question about it. And sometimes, it’s just my wolf really not liking Tanner too close to another guy, especially a good-looking gay guy.

And my wolf generally doesn’t like it when he calls another guy good-looking.

Finley chuckles. Some of it, we can’t help. But sometimes, we just… it’s ridiculous and we tend to get a bit, uh, nuts with each other over it.

Tanner nods. Yeah. As for who wins… well, I think we both do, in the end.

Finley grins. Oh yeah. Make-up sex is some of the best sex ever.

I’ll have to agree with that. Some of. There are definitely others that are better.

Of course. Finley nods. But you gotta admit, make-up sex rocks.

That it does.

What is your deepest, most well-hidden sexual fantasy? Would you ever try it?

Tanner blushes bright red, making Finley laugh. He glares at Finley. What? Tell me you can easily say that stuff.

Finley simply smirks at him for another moment, before grinning. Yeah, well, I mean… she wrote us. She pretty much knows everything anyway.

Tanner rolls his eyes, but nods. True, okay, yeah. I just… well, I would try it, I’ll say that much. I mean… I’d like to think I’m pretty open sexually, when it comes to my mate.

That he is. Finley nods. We’re already pretty adventurous. For my part… I’ll say it. I wouldn’t mind if he turned alpha sometime. Like… really dominated me. Finley’s cheeks darken.

Really? Tanner raises an eyebrow, then leans in and whispers something into Finley’s ear.

Oh, really? Finley blinks. Tanner nods. Well, then… Finley clears his throat. Are there other questions?

*grin* If your partner wants to seduce you, what’s one sure-fire trick he can play?

Finley laughs at this one. He doesn’t have to. He could take one look at me, say “strip” and I’d be hard as a rock in seconds.

Tanner makes a choking noise.

What? It’s true, isn’t it?

Tanner clears his throat. Well, yes, it is. There are advantages to having a young mate.

Finley blushes. Hey, I can’t help it!

I didn’t say it was a bad thing, did I?

Well… no. Finley shakes his head. You’re not exactly old, though. He waggles his eyebrows.

Tanner laughs. No, no I’m not. He kisses Finley’s temple.

*laughs* You two are awesome. So, very last question… what’s in the future for the two of you?

We’d both like to travel a bit.

Finley nods. Yeah. Get some experiences—both of us, together—before he has to take over for his dad.

Tanner smiles. Right. Then the pack. I expect we’ll be doing that for a long time. Then, somewhere in there, I’d love to have a couple of pups. Don’t know how yet.

I… have an idea about that, actually. Finley bites his lip.

Tanner raises an eyebrow. Oh?

Finley nods. Yeah. Uh, I’m thinking Beth or Anna might be willing to carry one for us. He shrugs. Maybe. You now.

Tanner smiles. That would be wonderful, if they would.

But yeah. I’d like pups too. A couple of them, maybe. I have to finish school first, and I’d like some of that travel before we have to figure out how to raise kids.

Tanner laughs. Yeah, I think that might be good.

Thank you so much to both of you for the time to chat! And for being so honest. Tanner and Finley both grin. Good luck to you! And make sure we see those pups.

Blurb:

Finley Cooper is tired of waiting. He’s spent the last two years, waiting for his destined mate to be ready to claim him. In deference to human laws, he’s agreed to put it off until he was eighteen. But now he is and his mate has a new set of excuses. Finley doesn’t understand it any more than his wolf does. And Finley’s beginning to wonder if Tanner really wants him or if fate made a mistake.

Tanner Pearce wants nothing more than to claim his mate. But Finley’s age worries him. He’ll never forget what happened when his best friend mated at Finley’s age, only to have that mate end up feeling trapped and breaking their bond. While rare, it can happen, and the fallout Tanner witnessed as his best friend tried to deal with the break would haunt him for years.

If that isn’t bad, when the future alpha of the Forbes pack claims his mate, it’s traditionally a public event. Neither Tanner’s nor Finley’s parents understand Tanner’s reticence over either issue, but Tanner is sure claiming Finley this soon is a recipe for disaster. However, Finley has had enough and when Finley threatens to find someone who will claim him if Tanner doesn’t, Tanner realizes he’s going to have to come to terms with his fears or risk losing his mate forever.
