Be careful what you wish for…

Nate has been in love with Quinn, his brother’s best friend, for as long as he can remember. But when he finally gets the chance to show Quinn how he feels, his heart gets broken in the most unexpected way.

Second chances come when you least expect them…

Quinn doesn’t believe in miracles, especially not Christmas ones. When he decides to win Nate back he knows it won’t be easy. The last thing he expects is a health scare, a road trip and a vicious snow storm to work in his favor.

In the end, a cabin in the woods turns out to be not only the shelter they desperately need, but also Quinn’s very own Christmas miracle.

Sometimes, to forgive, you need to get snowed in…

Our thoughts:

Snowed In was everything I love in a holiday short. Snow. Tree decorating. A cabin. Some sassy times and a whole lot of hot, sexy times.

Nate had his heart broken after one night with the man of his dreams, Quinn. Quinn was Nate’s brother’s best friend and Nate really put himself out there to tell Quinn how he felt. He gave him his heart, they had one night and then Quinn left.

Fast forward two years and Quinn is back to set things right with Nate. He had a good reason for leaving, now he just has to hope Nate will understand and forgive him. Although the whole separation could have been avoided, I admired Quinn for what he did to help a friend. The impact could have been devastating and long-lasting. He was sacrificing his future, his love.

Nate was pretty angry and we go through a good portion of this short with him giving Quinn some much deserved grief. Once he knows the whole story, it’s impossible for Nate to remain angry. He must let it go and move forward because Quinn still has his heart. If he can’t forgive, he’ll never be happy and with his true love.

Kostova not only brings the sweet moments, cooking dinner, tree decorating, dancing, playing in the snow and much needed conversations to clear the air. She also brings to the story some seriously sexy times for Quinn and Nate. They’re very sensual and their connection is intense. They’re never rushed to get off but take their time to touch, taunt and drive each other crazy with need.

Snowed In was a perfect holiday story!

Okay, I don’t know how to explain my feelings about this story.  It’s rare that I’m this uncertain about things at the end of a book, but nevertheless here I am. Neither of these heroes really won me over, yet I couldn’t tear myself away from their story. Normally when I don’t connect with or identify with a main character I feel detached, but that didn’t really happen in this case. Maybe it’s the reunited lovers trope that reeled me in? Or maybe I just couldn’t wait to see if and how Sue Brown would bring them back together and manage to redeem them both? Either way, Stolen Dreams is a story that will surprise and entertain.

Morgan is a successful, mostly content assistant movie producer living in LA with his hot actor fiancé Jase. Seems like a match made in heaven, right? It pretty much is until the ex love of his life Shae returns to visit his ailing father. It’s been five years, and a lot has happened. Surely they’ve both moved on, right? I mean, Morgan’s engaged! Wrong. Definitely wrong.

Sue Brown has an aptitude for creating emotionally intense stories. In this one neither Morgan nor Shae is perfect; they’ve each made mistakes that have irrevocably altered the course of their relationship. I wasn’t sure either of them could survive if they tried again. The distrust and uncertainty will keep readers unbalanced, never knowing when the next twist or turn will appear.  Trust me, there are plenty of them, and at least one could be a deal breaker.

One thing that stands out about this book is that Morgan and Shae have the most horrible, selfish, manipulative friends in all of humanity. These guys are reprehensible!  They take advantage of Morgan and Shae when they’re at their most vulnerable, definitely impeding their relationship. Who does that? Bad friends, that’s who.

Sue Brown is owned by her dog and two children. When she isn’t following their orders, she can be found plotting at her laptop. In fact she hides so she can plot and has gotten expert at ignoring the orders.

Sue discovered M/M erotica at the time she woke up to find two men kissing on her favorite television series. The series was boring; the kissing was not. She may be late to the party, but she’s made up for it since, writing fan fiction until she was brave enough to venture out into the world of original fiction.
